Week 1 NFL Picks Recap

Week 1 NFL Picks Recap

Week 1 is almost in the books, and I currently sit at 6-7-1 (win, loss, tie) with my picks against the spread. Every Monday I will provide a brief recap of my picks, along with my Monday Night Football picks. Not the start I wanted, but still better than Sports Director Mike Walter who went 5-8-1. Yes, we are having a friendly competition to see who has the better against the spread record at the end of the season. My best picks were some big underdogs covering like the Bills, Titans, and Raiders. My not so good pick was thinking the Jags had a shot against the Chiefs. Can we officially declare Jacksonville the worst team in the NFL this year? Mike's picks in parentheses below.

Tonight I like both dogs to cover. I see the Eagles new offense causing issues for the Washington defense, with Vick and Shady McCoy running the zone read to perfection. Give me the Eagles(+4), and the outright win 28-26. (Skins)

In the late game, I like Texans to win while controlling the clock with Arian Foster, but the Chargers will fight the whole game in front of a raucous home crowd. Give me Chargers(+5.5) to cover, but lose to Houston 20-17. (Chargers)
