Bills Game Review Week 9: Bills 7, Cowboys 44
Ugh, how painful is it going to be writing this one? I was grateful last week that I didn't see a lot of the terrible performance vs the Jets so I didn't have to dive into the details too much. Well, I saw just about all of this sorry excuse for a football game. These are the kinds of game we've remembered too well over the last 10 years of futility for the Bills but didn't think we'd have with this upstart, overachieving group. The wheels have truly come off the last couple weeks, and I'm sure the coaching staff and players alike are searching for answers. A scary truth comes to me now, though - are the answers here? These guys have character and inner drive, but the overall team talent is clearly lacking. When the Bills face injuries to key players (Williams, Merriman) and have the ongoing rotation they've had at LT, bad things are going to happen. The depth just isn't there.
But I'm still not ready to throw in the towel for the season. That would be silly after only 9 games; lot's of football left to play. But it is alarming.
