Home Field Disadvantage?

I wondered about how repairs to Wrigley would affect the wind for fly balls.  Jorge Soler’s slow start doesn’t help but the team isn’t playing like it has a true home advantage at 15-11, the first place Cardinals are 20-7 at home.

Hello Mr. Gallo

He’ll get Adrian Beltre’s 15 day trip to DL to prove he deserves at bats in Texas’s lineup as DH.  His glove work is passable, why not?  Beltre has gold gloves on the mantel, Gallo just needs to be passable.   He and Kris Bryant can carry the hype machine for the position for a decade but he should take notes on Josh Donaldson’s position transition.  Did anyone notice the team is at.500 in the standings by the way?

The top 5 teams right now in MLB:
  1. Kansas City Royals- Looked like the better team in series win with Cards. But not the better team vs. Yanks.  Meaning there’s still room to stake claim for top team in American League.
  2. San Francisco Giants-   Having a solid starter go out every day is nice.
  3. Minnesota Twins- The Molitor has then playing to win games pretty or otherwise.  Dozier warming up at the plate helps in a once thought pitchers park.  Perkins efficient in shutting the door.
  4. St` Louis Cardinals- Staring at Mark Reynolds at 1B for the rest of the year, meaning he will hit against right handed pitchers too no more platooning with Matt Adams
  5. Houston Astros- Hear rumors about how they are exploring the trade market for starters, definitely interested in Johnny Cueto’s arm medicals.

The Bottom 5:
  1. Chicago White Sox- Nothing is in midseason form yet, how long can they stay above water in that division?
  2. Milwaukee Brewers - Slow starter 3B Ramirez needs to turn it on, Lucroy returning should help spark that, Carlos Gomez is next on that slow start list.
  3. Oakland A’s -Charging to bottom of ranks with Kazmir ailing.
  4. Miami Marlins- with talk of a disjointed locker room someone needs to repair owners rep among players and coaches.
  5. Philadelphia  Phillies- Going to be a long summer in Philly.
