Made in Buffalo - Seth Godin

As I sit at LaGuardia Airport, waiting to get on a plane back to Buffalo, I look around and soak in the sights of all of the travelers. Everyone here is unique in his or her own way, an individual; nothing connects one to another, other than their location.
When I think about the people of Buffalo, I realize that everyone is their own person, but we have something that connects us. I can't exactly explain what this "thing" is, but it's something I wish everyone could experience. There's just something about Buffalo!
That's what the Made in Buffalo speaker series is all about. The Buffalo Jewish Federation is showcasing nationally known, homegrown talent. And who's up first? Seth Godin! Mega marketer, intrepid entrepreneur, best-selling author AND Buffalo native!
On April 27 at 7:00pm, Seth will give a talk at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, “Dancing on the Edge of a Revolution,” about living and working at the dawn of the new economy.
If you're wondering what's this Seth Godin guy is all about, check out one of his books, like Linchpin, Tribes, The Dip, and Purple Cow, just to name a few (he has written no fewer than 18!). Or if you don't have time to read a whole book, you can do what I do: read his daily blog! Each morning I get an email with Seth's daily inspirational thoughts delivered right to my inbox. It's a few quick paragraphs and it always gives me something to think about throughout the day. My favorite thing to do is talk about it with a friend and challenge what they think about it. That's an idea Seth encourages - challenging everything.
