What's up with Wednesdays all of a sudden? Way too many fun things to do on a school night. Skate up some bucks for Bison Fund scholarships at Canalside, or get Behind the Scenes at the Science Museum for a peek at some amazing PanAm treasures. Or catch Fiddler on the Roof, but not by just any theater company. Former refugees perform this very appropriate musical at the JCC.
Thursday brings an intriguing opp: Older, Smaller, Better. No, not a diet or a wish list. It's a Preservation Green Lab talk about the value of these types of buildings in cities like Buffalo. Hmmm. Looking for a fun challenge? Find out how much you know about Buffalo at the new Trivia Night at the Center at the Burchfield Penney. For free.
It's all about sports Friday night, but with some cool twists. Catch the Queen City Roller Girls Season Opener at Riverworks, or hit the Sabres Game Party with Reggie Childs at Ironworks.
This weekend will be spirited. Buffalo's 28th Annual Experience Psychic Fair will haunt the Holiday Inn at the Airport from Friday through Sunday, or head to Lancaster for an evening of Psychic Theater Off-Broadway, a hypnotic Saturday evening with para-psychic Sebastian Black.
A different sort of spirits will be on hand at the Barrel Factory in the Old First Ward on Saturday. Tour Lakeward Spirits during Explore Buffalo's Grain Alley Gala, a great event for a terrific cause (Buffy will be there!). Beer and sausage beckon at the Sausage Fest at Rusty Nickel Brewing. Both are great ways to celebrate following the No Hate, No Mandate Rally on Saturday. It starts at the 9th Ward at Noon and ends up at Niagara Square.
Sunday is the last day to catch Amadeus with the Irish Classical Theatre Company and the BPO. This exceptional play will be on the stage at Kleinhans, where there is no bad seat in the house. Don't miss it!
