Celebrating Disability Awareness Month at Dog Ears Bookstore

Representatives of People Inc., Dog Ears Bookstore & Café and several elected officials gathered at the South Buffalo bookstore on March 28 in celebration of Disability Awareness Month. Dog Ears and People Inc. have partnered to deliver books to senior living apartments throughout Western New York, as well as programs that help participants with job readiness skills.

The organizations are hoping to expand programs such as book delivery, book exchange opportunities, book recycling, community engagement, educational enrichment and more.

Stopping by to offer their continued support to the nonprofit organizations were Erie County Legislators Patrick Burke and Lynne Dixon, City of Buffalo Comptroller Mark Schroeder, and South District Councilman Chris Scanlon.
