Buffalo’s Best Bites #2 | The Lodge

Buffalo’s Best Bites #2 | The Lodge

The Lodge Bar and Grill, located in downtown Buffalo’s Chippewa Bar District, is a New American style restaurant/bar. The first thing one notices upon entering the eatery is the modern take on the rustic lodge. From the antler chandeliers and the wall to wall fireplace on the first floor, to the wintery vibe in the artic lounge on the second floor, along with a gaming room there is plenty for the eye to see.

In terms of beverages, The Lodge offers a variety of craft beers on tap including some local favorites such as EBC, Southern Tier, and Resurgence. There is also a signature cocktail menu which has several unique drinks with all fresh ingredients; one being a gin based cocktail called Bear Like Berries.

For the lunch crowd, The Lodge has an extensive variety of sandwiches and burgers including a poutine steak sandwich. I would recommend the chicken fried chicken sandwich which uses waffles, maple slaw, and bourbon syrup rather the usual plain buns. There are also healthy options including grilled salmon, tofu, and lettuce wraps. What stands out about the dinner menu is the variety of meat options available including beef, chicken, lamb, boar, pork chops, rack of lamb, venison, and bison. These come with a variety of side dishes.

The restaurant also offers reservations for pig roasts and there is brunch on Sundays. The Lodge is also a great place to go on a Friday night for live music or a Saturday night if you would prefer a deep house DJ. With its great décor, food, and drink menu, and nightlife atmosphere...

I give The Lodge 4/5 vibes.
