Graycliff Thrills

Graycliff now officially numbers among The 15 Most Beautiful Places in Upstate New York You Didn't Know Existed according to  on Thrillist.com (March 30, 2016).

Of course, Western New Yorkers are fully aware of the striking Estate overlooking Lake Erie. But isn't it nice of Thrillist to share the news about this treasure in nearby Derby?

"Instead of yet another weekend spent Netflix-and-chilling, head upstate for a behind-the-scenes Master Architectural tour of a Frank Lloyd Wright house. Built from 1926-1931, the Graycliff Estate sits at the edge of Lake Erie, where the 70ft limestone cliffs served as inspiration for Wright’s work."

If you have not yet visited, make it a point to get there this season. In fact, The Roycroft offers packages that start with Brunch at the Inn followed by a trolley ride to Graycliff and a tour. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday.
